Rattan

Eco-conscious choice crafted to stand the test of time.
Rattan is a material of rare charm and integrity, prized not only for its visual warmth and artisanal flexibility, but also for its environmentally sound credentials. With a fast growth cycle and no requirement for pesticides or fertilisers, rattan is both renewable and CO₂ neutral. Its cultivation even contributes to forest conservation by flourishing under tree canopy, thus encouraging natural woodland preservation.
Skilled craftsmanship brings out the best in rattan’s natural character. Each piece is individually shaped and woven, resulting in forms that feel both timeless and unique. Whether in the form of elegant seating or accent pieces, rattan furniture offers a lightweight, tactile presence that softens any outdoor or indoor setting with ease.

Rattan maintenance
Rattan is relatively straightforward to care for, rewarding occasional attention with many years of service. To preserve its beauty and structure, we recommend the following:
Regular Dusting: Gently remove dust using a soft cloth or feather duster to maintain a clean, dry surface.
Spot Cleaning: For spills or marks, use a slightly damp cloth with mild, natural soap. Avoid over-wetting the material, and ensure it is fully dry afterwards to prevent mildew.
Occasional Deep Clean: Use a soft-bristle brush or toothbrush with warm, soapy water to clean between the weaves. Again, allow the piece to dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated space.
Avoid Harsh Treatments: Do not use bleach, abrasive pads, or strong chemical cleaners, as these can damage the fibres and dull the finish.
Where possible, protect rattan furniture from prolonged exposure to heavy rain or strong sun to extend its life and maintain its appearance.
