Lloyd Loom

Woven Heritage, Timeless Comfort
Lloyd Loom is a distinctive material made from tightly twisted kraft paper wrapped around a steel wire, offering exceptional strength with a refined, smooth finish. First developed in 1917, it has become a hallmark of timeless design—both resilient and graceful in appearance.
Each sheet is carefully shaped and applied by hand to rattan or wooden frames, then painted in one of 25 finishes. Unlike traditional wicker, Lloyd Loom will not catch on clothing or skin, making it a practical and elegant choice for refined interiors and sheltered outdoor settings.
Cotswold Furniture uses Lloyd Loom supplied by Vincent Sheppard, the recognised leader in this unique technique.

Lloyd Loom maintenance
Lloyd Loom furniture is designed with practicality in mind. Light dust and debris can be removed using a soft cloth or by gently vacuuming with a soft brush attachment. For occasional deeper cleaning, use a damp cloth and mild natural soap.
Should minor scratches appear, touch-up paints are available to match all standard colours.
Outdoor Lloyd Loom
Outdoor Lloyd Loom is specially treated to resist moisture and weather exposure. While it can remain outdoors during fair conditions, we recommend storing it indoors or under cover during prolonged rain or colder months. This simple step will help preserve the finish and extend the longevity of each piece.
